MSc Thesis Call in Computer Networks and Communications @ KIoT - Wollo University, Ethiopia

Dr. Ahmedin and his colleagues are looking for Master students that can conduct multidiciplinary academic research in wirleess networks. 

There are 5 MSc Thesis positions to be supervised by Dr. Ahmedin and his colleagues in research areas like big data analytics (health/scholarly), data management algorithms/protocols for wireless networks (ASNET, VSN, etc), social network analysis, fog computing, Internet-of-Things (IoT), etc. 
All positions will be coupled by full-time Master students who already finished their course-work and currently affilated to any public University in Ethiopia.

Starting date: 15 August 2018 
Thesis completion duration: Aprox 6 months

Qualifications
1. Applicants shall have finished their masters course-work (also considers those with one or two remaining course(s) with outstanding performance).
2. A good command of the English language (in speaking and in writing) is required
3. A good teamwork culture and willingness at the workplace as well as virtually
4. Good knowlesdge and use of simulation and experimental tools such as The ONE, NS-2, MathLab, etc as well as softwares such as LaTex, Origin
5. A talent for organization and a structured way of working
6. An open-minded personality and joy in getting to know others and their culture
7. Research experience in related areas is a plus.

1. A detailed CV (including email addresses of two referees in the field, detailed contact information, etc)
2. MSc thesis research proposal within the area of the aforementioned topics

It would be desirable to share and explain the research proposal to staffs of the Institute, depending on the clarity. You will write the thesis in English using LaTex. We will consider to publish it in a peer-reviewed journal after restrcutured for a scientific paper form.
